Finally I did it .................
I was always fascinated in watching people dance and the rhythm and music made me feel good but I never had the guts to go for it …..it was like I was not that flexible nor had that right pace …in 2000 when I had joined my first job in Delhi….Salsa boards used to attract me …..but never found the right time or ..say in simple English ..never took the first step to the floor…
March 2008, finally I called up a guy by searching on net for some classes in Noida and luckily this Lucky was a nice and cool chap to talk to. I told him all the reasons for him to discourage me not to come for the class, but he very enthusiastically gave me all the positive reasons to go for it....as there site says…come take a chance…..i had already talked to 2 of my friends and they agreed…we were all biggners in this field…but wanted to explore ..fun filled with music … Dance is a good stress buster and there is no right age to learn anything ….so came Cha cha cha in our lives…
Dance is one of the best exercises of concentration, creativity & workout. It brings confidence, a positive outlook towards oneself and specially in my case it has helped me in concentrating better, of feeling the music better, of grace and right attitude, of the importance of smile and body language….of JOY …of filling the voids I feel at times…
Health benefits of dancing, such as stress reduction and increased serotonin level, with its sense of well-being. Then most recently we've heard of another benefit: Frequent dancing apparently makes us smarter. Jean Piaget suggested that intelligence is what we use when we don't already know what to do. Dance helps us in feeling fresh and relaxed, increases our cooperation and discipline, and adds to harmony. Dance aids recognition of form, balance and line.

In India, dance has been an important part of society from ancient times. We danced for worship and celebration. There are various dance forms in our culture like Kattakali, Bharatnatyam, Kucchipudi and others which require a very deep understanding of the form, classic as we call it. It is one of the highest forms of creativity. Dance and music were learnt and practiced for the enrichment and enlightenment of a human being. In ancient times these art forms got the status of Vedas [the science of the doctrine of divine things] and were considered the instrument to achieve ultimate salvation.
Well…lets not become philosophical….only thing I wanna say at this point is that there is no age to start learning or say start enjoying anything ….what I want to do I should do today, I waited 8 yrs to do this….it was so simple….the most difficult part was – taking that first step!!! It applies to everything in life….Take that step…today
….Pahala kadam he sab se kathin hota hai…..lets not wait for the right time or the right moment or the right.....come ..lets do it
