A friend of mine is an eminent lawyer in Mumbai, very attractive and intelligent. Her drawback….She SMOKES!! She is a chain smoker. At the same time, another male friend working under her has a competition in how much ash he burns a day….but is he wrong somewhere …NO…man smoking is normal!! A woman smoking ….ehh…yak….hooo… WHY?

Almost all of us know the universal effects of smoking on our health. Why are we so prejudiced that we don’t want the females to get the luxury to have  Lung cancer, more facial wrinkles, gum disease, dental decay, develop cataracts, likely to have a stroke, depression….list is long. Why can’t she have a cigarette in her hand and feel like a MAN!!

I am not being judgmental here, but why are the emotional response not the same when you see a man or a woman smoke. I don’t feel any hostility when I see a man smoking, but I don’t feel any attraction either. Why doesn’t the same hold true for a woman? Why is the reaction different, the smoke is same, the ashes are same….

If smoking is bad (I hate smoking) then why not same for a man or a woman? Why do we take it very lightly for a man and not the same for a woman…..Doesn’t she also have the right to die early due to lung cancer or something….

Why in the movies, the hero is shown smoking and creating rings of the same ...portraying him a superman kind of a thing…..whereas only the bad woman do the same

Anyone to answer this prejudice?
